Welcome to Natuurlijk Bloembinders

The origins of Natuurlijk lie in our mutual love of flowers, plants and interior decoration. Our objective is clear: we provide you with all that’s necessary to brighten up your home, business or celebration. Not only do we supply the materials, we are also happy to give you the benefit of our expertise, experience and advice.

What keeps it exciting and challenging for us is the unique taste of each individual customer. Are you a fan of a dark, sleek style, but your partner prefers a more eclectic approach? We will do our utmost to find a happy medium that suits both styles and delivers an attractive end result.

We mainly draw our inspiration from nature (perhaps the name gives it away...). Nothing man-made can surpass what Mother Nature has to offer. Tree structures in the jungle, the endless randomness of plants in a forest and the always surprising colour palette of a bed of wildflowers. Our task is to find an aesthetic that matches this as close as possible.

Our team consists of David, Melissa and Yamina, three committed individuals with a background in floristry. They all add a personal touch to their flower arranging skills, making each bouquet unique and personal.

Our combinations of flowers, plants and interior decoration also enable us to give you personal advice on how to combine these three factors. When you furnish a new interior, you focus on the shapes, colours and textures that will fill the space. This mainly involves decoration, but flowers and plants can take this to a whole new level. Not only can your furniture be matching, it can also complement the greenery, or other flora, in your home.

FLOWER OF THE WEEK: BOUVARDIA

Despite its fairly robust structure, this flower will perform well on its own or as part of a mixed arrangement, i.e. leading lady or supporting role, bouvardia has it all.

Potential colours include white, pink or red, i.e. you can opt for a more neutral flower to blend in with the interior or a more passionate choice to attract attention.

The flower is named after Charles Bouvard, physician to Louis XIII and head of the Jardin du Roi in Paris. Because of this, the flower symbolises enthusiasm and is often presented as a celebratory gift.

This ‘team player’ originates from Central America, mainly Mexico, where it is found in shrubberies and very occasionally as an herb.

Kind regards,

Your Flower Blogger.
